Foni is a meeting recording and transcription app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Foni requires an account for core functionality. The data we handle includes:

• Account information: Email address used for authentication via Supabase Auth.
• Audio recordings: Meeting audio is uploaded to our servers for transcription processing. Recordings are stored temporarily during processing and may be retained for service delivery.
• Transcripts and summaries: Generated text content is stored in your account so you can access it at any time.
• Subscription & payment data: If you subscribe to Foni Premium, Apple processes your payment. We store your subscription status, plan type, and Apple transaction identifiers to manage your access. We do not have access to your credit card or payment method details.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics to help us improve the app experience.

How We Use Your Information

• Transcribing and summarizing your recorded meetings
• Providing searchable access to your transcripts and action items
• Improving our transcription accuracy and app performance

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to deliver the app experience:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage (Privacy Policy)
• Deepgram — Speech-to-text transcription (Privacy Policy)
• Anthropic — AI-powered summarization with Claude (Privacy Policy)
• Apple — App distribution and payments (Privacy Policy)

Data Retention

Your transcripts and meeting data are retained in your account for as long as you use the service. Audio recordings are processed and may be deleted after transcription is complete. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Data Security

All communications between the app and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Credentials and API keys are stored securely on the server side and are never exposed to the client.

Children's Privacy

Foni is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. To reset all local data, you can uninstall and reinstall the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
